How Manchester Metropolitan University reduced their carbon footprint and maximized data center success
Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), the largest campus-based undergraduate university in the UK, undertook a sustainability consolidation strategy aimed to improve the efficiency and availability of its data center.
Jeff Hall, MMU IT Service Operations Officer, said: “Schneider Electric’s modular architecture meant that we could deploy the new data center using a phased approach. We effectively built a room within a room.”
MMU has reduced its carbon footprint and realized energy savings exceeding 30%.
